Outline

This event is a premiere of new creation by OrganWorks. It is a collection of pieces based on stories revolve around four men and women written by Shintaro Hirahara. Having a theme of “Yokai (specters in Japanese),” these stories are inspired by a view of life and death and religious outlook hidden in modern Japanese.

【OrganWorks】
OrganWorks is a dance company directed by Shintaro Hirahara since 2016. Members of the company are not only dancers but also artists who actively work in fields like costume design, video art, music, graphic design, etc. These members work together for each project. In 2015, the company was invited to Madrid en Danza, a dance festival in Spain, and presented “TSURA,” which received high acclaim for physical strength of dancers and originality of work.
