With inclusive dance performance as its core, this program will comprise the following activities:
1. Educational workshops as pre-events (to be held at elementary schools, special support schools and other locations)
2. Creation of pieces
3. Stage production (on May 14, 2017 at Hikarigaoka IMA Hall, Nerima City, Tokyo)
4. Volunteer training workshops
5. Post-event symposiums
Through this continuous process linking art performance and society, the program aims to create diverse opportunities for people with disabilities to take a principle role in involvement with society, and to develop and realize an art program for co-creation that embraces diversity.
Established in 1998 as a field for inclusive co-creation/collaborative expression. To date they have given a total of twelve performances on a regular basis in performance halls in Tokyo (Nerima Culture Center (Big Hall), Asahi Art Square and others). They are also active in conducting exchange with people in areas affected by disasters through activities focusing on physical expression, and running exchange workshops at facilities such as child centers, and elementary and junior high schools. From this fiscal year, the group will trial new volunteer training workshops and free-for-all workshops on co-creative expression, with the aim of opening the field to society in a variety of ways.
