Having received the Sibiu International Theater Festival Prize at the Yokohama Dance Collection EX 2013, Yo Nakamura embarks on her first solo performance overseas. In SONATA, Nakamura humorously portrays a woman’s sweet sorrow and her charm through dance, words, and a doll. She tailored the performance to Romanian culture so as to deliver the essence of her message to the Romanian audience. She will also offer a workshop the day before the performance, the perfect opportunity for her to exchange ideas with people about physical movement and emotion through dance.
