“This is Jikando’s first tour in two years to connect with people across Japan using performances that feature performers from all over the country. The tour begins and ends in Tokyo, Jikando’s home base.
Jikando auditioned performers, presented its creative process, and hosted public events in five cities across Japan, achieving communication via theatrical performances during his tour.
This new play was written by Seri Kurosawa. With the birth of a nuclear power plant forming the subject matter, the play sheds light on illogical thought and intolerance towards others typical in people nowadays.
Are people really capable of listening to others with tolerance, instead of ignoring and dismissing different points of views?

Jikando Theatre Company
Jikando was established in 1997 as stage director Seri Kurosawa’s theater group. With its belief that “plays with relationships between the script and the cast are most interesting,” the company trains its performers using Meisner techniques for its creations. Plays performed by Jikando range from classics to works written by emerging playwrights.
In 2014, Jikando opened its toiroan studio. Through workshops held at the studio, the company concentrates on familiarizing people with theatrical plays, and to nurture performers.
Its motto is, “Great ordinary plays, and ordinary great plays.”
