This program is part of Asahi Art Square’s Open Square Project 2014 “Alterspace – Constantly Changing, Temporary Art Space.” Discussion will center on the theme of “Art Spaces Without Places.” In this program, participants will discuss such topics as the future of art spaces and alternative art spaces. This will also be an opportunity to understand the current situation of art spaces in Asia and the pressing problems of neighboring Asian countries with regards to cultural, political and economic situations. The discussions will take place before the symposium. After the symposium, there will be an opportunity to network with other participants. There will be a total of 4 discussions with the directors of Asian and Japanese art spaces, and they will be broadcast live on ustream to the world.
