2013 marks the 100th year from the composition and the first public performance of Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps. In this new, challenging piece, dance company Co. Yamada Un examines the relationship between music and dance through physical expressions set to Le Sacre du Printemps.

Co. Yamada Un is a dance company founded by Un Yamada in 2002 that stimulates spectators’ intelligence and sensitivity by witty and unique choreography, precise structure and the dancers’ vivid physicality. The company has performed in 20 cities in 14 countries around the world and in 28 cities in Japan, and in recent years, not only in theaters but also in many historical buildings as well as outdoors. Auditioning new members for each piece, the company always has dozens of dancers. In addition to its public performances, the company also puts on highly renowned workshops at the requests of schools and other institutions across the country.
