Takayuki Fujimoto of Dumb Type and choreographer Tsuyoshi Shirai will be giving a multimedia performance of their new work, Node/The Old Man in the Desert at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. A combination of Tokyo-born butoh and contemporary dance paired with multi-angle video projection and lighting paired with live music, this creative work questions the nature of information. It will be performed as part of the Multi Media Series, which offers the latest in media art works to Hong Kong.
HiWood
HiWood is a contemporary dance production and management company. It also handles bookings for foreign works. HiWood does many projects including the planning/producing of contemporary dance and business development/management with the help of government and private funding. For example, it recently held a workshop at an elementary school in a remote island as part of the Tokyo Culture Creation Project.
