An “artistic action” is where a massive object is created and brought into the art space.
The team plans and creates the largest and most dramatic sculpture that can be brought into the space, and on the day of the show, carries it in. Participants use their wits and strengths to help, and enjoy the sense of uplifting happiness that comes from working together.
Akuma no shirushi
As the members got together to realize by feel, without a previous understanding of the methodology, what gets in Noriyuki Kiguchi’s head from time to time, they started to attract people’s attention as a unique performance group, carrying various elements of drama, performance, music, and contemporary art.
Their pieces could mainly be divided into two kinds: the ones taking place on stage with more dramatic elements; and the ones with more performance elements for festivities.
As they are willing to stay multifaceted, we could expect them to be more active in various genres freely in the future.
