KEGAWAZOKU
Formed in September 2000 to stage works written and directed by Junko Emoto, the troupe put on its first production “Fiendish romance” at Kagurazaka die pratze. Since then it has performed two or three new works every year at theaters centered around metropolitan Tokyo. In March 2004 it staged its 11th production “DEEP Christ manic” at Shimokitazawa Ekimae Theater, also presenting the work at Tokyo International　Arts Festival 2004. In July 2005, Tokyo’s Honda Theater and Osaka IMP Hall hosted performances of “The Money is You,” the troupe’s 13th production. In December 2010, KEGAWAZOKU marked its 10th anniversary. It’s 23rd production at Shimokitazawa Ekimae Theater, “Chiisana koi no erojii,” was shortlisted for the 55th Kishida Kunio Drama Award.
