MUTEK.JP returns to Tokyo’s Miraikan – The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation for its 3rd edition held November 1-4, 2018. In addition to the famed museum the 4-day festival will arrive with an extended program in the heart of Tokyo, Since its inception in 2016 MUTEK.JP has manifested itself as a platform for digital creative practices, musical expression and artistic exchange. Over the past three years, MUTEK.JP has initiated a process of community-building that unites artists and audiences across the spheres of art, music, science and technology, while providing a focal point to connect the national and international.

MUTEK.JP is a cultural association that is dedicated to the dissemination and development of digital creativity in sound, music, and audio-visual art. In 2016, Tokyo joined the burgeoning family of MUTEK events all over the world. Established with the same curatorial vision as its Montréal headquarters, including a mandate to cultivate local talent in a global context, MUTEK.JP provides a platform for the most original and visionary artists currently working in their fields.
