In our world today, where the nature of the individual, our relationships with others, and our means of sharing ideas and technology continue to change as the information society advances, what vision of the future can digital creativity offer? Aspiring to cultivate and disseminate the culture and art of the digital age, the Japan Foundation Asia Center and TodaysArt JAPAN / AACTOKYO present Media Culture in Asia: A Transnational Platform (MeCA), a comprehensive showcase of new media and digital culture in Asia, running from February 9th to February 18th, 2018.

【TodaysArt JAPAN / AACTOKYO (Advanced Art Conference Tokyo)】
We define not only arts using advanced technology but also arts, music, technology, dance, architecture, and other various forms of expressions that address topics of the times and sophistication of society as “advanced art”, from the world It is a producer unit handling urban art projects accumulating in Tokyo and appealing from Tokyo to the world. In recent years, on the extension of “club culture” in a broad meaning to the art festival and music festival prospering in various places, we have proposed a platform that proposes present-day Japanese culture which has not been told in the context of art so far In aiming to build, in the open environment, a wide variety of “people” “information” “culture” meets and creates a place where new cultural sects and real communities are created induced by chemical change.
