Outline

“Twilight” is a male solo dance, and “Dawn” is a female dance ensemble. Despite being two contrasting works, under a common theme of “light and darkness,” the focus of “twilight” is on the light that sinks into the dark and the death of living things, and in “Dawn” the focus is on the birth of light and life that comes out of the dark. The dance envisions a circle of death and regeneration, and brings out “awai,” the boundary between the two.
