“Saison Rouge～Weekend in Paris-Tokyo” was held in 2018 for the first time as a part of program “TANDEM PARIS TOKYO” co-operated by City of Tokyo, City of Paris and Institut Francais. A number of events focused on music, street dance, cinema and fooding were held for five days around Shibuya and Daikanyama area and relatively younger citizens of metropolitan area interested in culture and art, participated.
In 2019, the event will be emphasizing on the two concepts, “diversity” and “sustainability”. We aim to create a program in which artists, audiences and even art events themselves inspire each other across genre boundaries. This is a festival where participants can experience the current breeze of the international city of Paris through the artists at the forefront, where diversity and values coexist. In the future, we plan to mature and develop this festival as a diverse and sustainable street culture festival between 2 countries.
