Set in the Hama-rikyu Gardens, a place of important historical value for Tokyo as a surviving Daimyo teien (feudal lord’s garden), this large-scale project will appeal to people of all ages and nationalities and is intended to demonstrate the benefits of the sensitive utilization of heritage sites like this for society as a whole. A wide variety of creative and cutting edge cultural and artistic attractions, including a fashion festival on the theme of the yukata summer kimono, will be held in these traditional gardens, designated by the government as a Special Historic Site and a Special Place of Edo Scenic Beauty.
