Tanaka Production Collective supports the production of works by Koki Tanaka, handling progress management, the procurement of production staff and equipment, and managing production-related costs.
The group also sees to English-language coordination and translation for visits to Japan by overseas performers appearing in Tanaka’s works, as well as subtitles, etc. The Collective consults with cinematographers who have experience working on overseas productions to provide support to Tanaka on the creation and showing of his works.

Since receiving special commendation for his solo exhibition as the artist representing Japan at the Venice Biennale Japan Pavilion in 2013, Koki Tanaka has continued to expand the scale of his creations and exhibitions. Following his large-scale solo exhibition at Art Tower Mito in 2016, the media artist began to consider establishing a collective to support the creation of his pieces.
Having accepted an invitation for a solo exhibition from a Swiss art museum in 2018, he decided to set up the Tanaka Production Collective to work on the production of his exhibition pieces.
