The Chofu Citizen’s Kabuki performances are a platform for the Chofu Citizen’s Kabuki troupe to learn the traditional Japanese performing art of Kabuki as part of lifelong learning, and for the troupe to present the results of their year-round rehearsals onstage. At the same time, modeled on the large kabuki productions staged at Kabuki-za Theatre and National Theatre of Japan, the group provides the local community with the opportunity to enjoy authentic kabuki performances.
