Outline

Postponed from last year to this year due to the pandemic, the Tokyo Chutei Iki 20th Anniversary Performance was a lengthy six-hour event designed to cover both years, including what couldn’t be performed last year. The event was an attempt to present all twenty years of Tokyo Chutei Iki in video and music, making full use of the facilities of “EuroLive,” a venue equipped with a concert stage as well as movie-screening facilities.
The event featured Keiichi Suzuki of Moonriders as a performer and talk guest, writer/editor Yasuo Murao as a talk guest, and former Yura Yura Teikoku band member Kazumasa Asami as a VJ.

Profile

Tokyo Chutei Iki
Tokyo Chutei Iki is the only band in the world consisting of 10 baritone saxophone players. Our instruments are our voices and baritone saxophones, nothing else. We try to create music that is adventurous, crossing over different genres, such as jazz, classic, rock, etc..
