Wizard of OP is a performance project in which artist Takehito Koganezawa explores improvisational methods using light as a material for expression.
The event held at ANB Tokyo on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 under the concept of “a live session with memory/recording” featured a three-session screening of the documentary film “Wizard of OP– Fugaku fuketsu,” the video recording of an art performance filmed without an audience at Yamanashi Prefecture’s Fugaku Fuketsu Wind Cave 200 meters underground, and a new performance, “Wizard of OP vol.000.”
The interspersing of recorded visuals depicting memory with a new performance by the three artists concerned in an ANB Tokyo room that could be described as a modern-day cave provided the focus for the new challenge of a live session with memory and recording, and represented cave paintings for the 21st century against the backdrop of Fugaku Fuketsu Wind Cave and ANB Tokyo.
Performed by Takehito Koganezawa (Artist), Hiraku Suzuki (Artist), Kazuhisa Uchihashi (Musician)
Directed by Kiyoshi Takanashi
