J-TRAD Ensemble MAHOROBA
Established in 2021, J-TRAD Ensemble MAHOROBA is group of Japanese traditional music performers in pursuit of a sound with worldwide resonance in an ensemble combining the original and the creative, produced from the origins of Japanese music with an ethnic perspective. With a repertoire comprising both contemporary and traditional music in line with the group’s search for approaches to Japanese folk music now, the group implements a world of sound to stand up to the times.

Its members are Hidejiro Honjo（Shamisen/Kokyu）, Hideeiji Honjo（Shamisen/Kokyu）, Kizan Kawamura(Shakuhachi), Maya Kimura（Koto）, Nobutaka Yoshizawa(17 string koto), and Kisaburo Katada (Narimono percussion).
