Outline

A dialog-oriented drama depicting the daily lives of a daughter and her husband who bring her elderly parents living in the countryside to their home in the city and start living with them. Also portrayed are the lives of people around them. Written and directed by Mai Ishiguro of Gekidan Futsu, a theater company whose focus is on family-themed works, this production albeit at a small independent theater features a group of talented young actors comprising Yutaka Ishiii, Gift, Yoko Zan, Ryo Mochimatsu, Kayo Qmoto, Wataru Morita, and Karin Tachibana. It is a work that evokes the sense of distance and values people feel within a family in the family members’ matter-of-fact, everyday conversational exchanges.
