A theater version of “The Little Prince” by Saint-Exupery by THEATRE MOMENTS. Adapted and directed by Daisuke Sagawa; performed by Shiro Arai, Clare Nakahara,Akira Okubo, Kanako Toyoda, Chobitsuki Amemiya, Syunpei Mitsuhasi and Kenta Konno; music by Tetsuro Koshikawa; lighting by Atuko Uno; costumes by Yu Arishima.
Seven actors from different generations took turns playing the Little Prince, presenting the little prince as a character that everyone can relate to. In addition, the production was performed on a bare stage, featuring only cardboard boxes and a yellow scarf. Use of the cardboard boxes to resemble various objects stimulated the audience’s imagination and clearly indicated the theme of the work: that the important things are invisible to the eye. The addition of subtitles in Japanese, English and Chinese, as well as barrier-free support including audio guides made the work appeal to a wider audience.
