Outline

The Hibiya Music Festival is a “free and borderless music festival” held in Hibiya Park, Tokyo’s central park, with special concerts, participatory workshops, talk shows, etc. The program was held throughout Hibiya Park, including the Hibiya Outdoor Large Concert Hall and Small Concert Hall, as well as surrounding facilities such as Tokyo Midtown Hibiya. This year, due to the new coronavirus being classified as 5 types under the Infectious Diseases Act, it will be held for the first time in 4 years since 2019 without any restrictions, with an audience and live online distribution through U-NEXT. As a result, it was a great success with 110,000 visitors, 150,000 viewers, and 230,000 total views. The main performing artists are Tokiko Kato, Kaela Kimura, Hideki Togi, Seiko Niitsuma, LIBERA, Sayuri Ishikawa, Kazutoshi Sakurai, and others.

June 19, 2017 By operating the “Hibiya Music Festival”, we aim to contribute to the revitalization of Hibiya Park and the Hibiya area, the enhancement of the appeal of the international city of Tokyo, and the transmission of new music culture in Japan. Established an executive committee and held a general meeting.
From June 1st to 2nd, 2019, the 1st “Hibiya Music Festival” was held.
After that, 2020 was canceled due to the declaration of a state of emergency due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
In 2021, “Hibiya Music Festival 2021” will be held with no audience and only live online distribution.
In 2022, the “Hibiya Music Festival 2022” will be held from June 3rd to 5th due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In 2023, the “Hibiya Music Festival 2023” was held from June 2nd to 4th without restrictions for the first time in four years.
