Outline

This project is a research project lead by Ema Yuasa that uses dance as a communication tool to engage/exchange dialogue with divers people, and to explore various possibilities by connecting with others.
Dance&Dialogue workshops for people with developmental Challenge, their families, and people who have difficulty living, and Dancers workshops for young dancers based on Countertechnique(CT, a movement method for modern dancers) were held concurrently. Invited Anouk van Dijk (the founder of CT) from the Netherlands as a mentor as well, and about over the three months of numerous WS/dialogues, to learned and shared about the differences and characteristics of each, and sublimated the realizations gained by guiding each other’s movements to form of an expression as a public showing “Unseen Gradation”. At the same time, talk events and tryout workshops were held for the audience to share emotions that cannot be felt in everyday life by interacting people who do not usually meet each other in this fragmented society.

XHIASMA Organizing Committee, is where a wide range of genres of artists/experts such as choreographers, fashion designers, media artists, art and technical directors, IT journalists, etc gathers to collaborate with people who have difficulty being involved in the arts due to physical, mental, or positional differences.
A platform to freely discuss various ideas beyond different positions not only for creation purposes but gives importance to the process of dialogue to explore a new style of art and performing arts.
