Planned activities included a performance of the choral repertoire, audience participation events, the Kodomo rakugo musical JUGEM (a children’s rakugo musical), projection/panel displays of photographic works created in workshops, and a video showing of exchanges at a National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) global convention. The event was canceled as a result of the extension until the end of May 2021 of the declaration of a state of emergency due to the spread of coronavirus in Tokyo.

Children’s Castle Children’s Chorus
Established together with National Children’s Castle in 1985.
From infants to the elderly, the Chorus works with a wide range of children and people of all ages who have disabilities such as Down’s syndrome, Williams syndrome, developmental disabilities, and visual impairments, making it a group embodying inclusion.
With the closing of Children’s Castle in 2015, the NPO took over operations and established a support system called “Children’s Castle Children’s Chorus Supporters Club” revolving around members’ parents/guardians and alumni.
The NPO continues its activities with the support of children’s center personnel, government officials and public organizations nationwide as well as Aoyama Gakuin University.
