Outline

Due to concerns over the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) and in consideration of the health and safety of participants and staff members, this program was canceled.

Revival of a musical theater work that premiered in 2016. It portrays the lives of Yoshiko Yuasa, a Russian literature scholar, and writer Chujo Yuriko, who caused a sensation in the Taisho era as a lesbian couple. Written by Ema Kujira, directed by Kyou Ogasawara, with music composed and arranged by Miki Hasegawa. The script is based on the book “Yuriko, dasuvidāniya” by Hitomi Sawabe. The whole cast was reshuffled apart from one person. A preliminary workshop was also planned to aid understanding of the work and the historical background.
