Outline

Weaving the Nihonbashi Area with Sound” is an art project that creates creative expression. It’s a series of music that explores the various sonic aspects of the area and tells the story of this deeply rich culture and heritage, making it a highly dynamic and forward-thinking place in Tokyo. Nine musicians and Nick Luscombe and James Greer of the sound art collective MSCTY Studio, will collect the sounds played by various long-established stores in Nihonbashi and convey their history and present as a soundscape through sound and music.

Profile

IDEAL COOP Architects
In pursuit of a Regenerative Future
IDEAL COOP is a unit undertaking projects related to art, architecture, science and technology, food, education, museums, art festivals, and communities. The key concept of “regenerative” lies in maintaining a dynamic equilibrium between consumption and production from micro to macro levels. Sustainability, in this context, refers to the preservation of this dynamic equilibrium.
Our primary focus is on how to create a regenerative society. To tackle this theme, we emphasize ARTS (art). Using ARTS as a catalyst—art that moves hearts, connects people, and allows the perception of unknown entities—we aim to design regenerative relationships between individuals, transcending race, nationality, culture, language, customs, and religion. Our goal is to design regenerative connections between individuals, communities, and the environment, reaching beyond various boundaries. This is the mission we strive to accomplish.
