  • Organization : LiL
  • Section : None
  • Type of Grant Program : Single

Outline

JUHLA FESTIVAL is a music festival held at an extraordinary temple in the midst of the bustling city. The main stage of the main hall is equipped with a grand piano, and the festival is held every fall with a lineup that includes not only famous domestic artists, but also invited artists from Scandinavia, especially Finland. A special stage is also set up in the precincts of the temple for live performances by artists, DJs, and live PODCAST broadcasts. The Terra-no-Oto Marche, consisting of about 30 stores selling goods and food, will also be held at the same time, aiming to create a musical festival where people can enjoy music and listen to it in the tranquility of a temple.

Profile

LiL
-A festival of music in silence at an extraordinary temple in the midst of Tokyo-
JUHLA FESTIVAL by LiL is a music festival that has been held since the same year as Juhla tokyo opened(CD, record store dealing with those from Finland,Estonia and famous domestic artists). It has been held at least once a year since 2018 including the COVID-19 pandemic. The main stage is set up in the main hall of Yogenji Temple with grand piano, and a market(marche) consisting of local stores, individuals, and Scandinavian-related vendors is held simultaneously in the precincts.
Even though it’s a music festival, it has been planned and produced with a sense of “stillness” in mind.
In the heart of Tokyo, we want to offer a music experience that is different from ordinary music festivals.
