‘WATASHI NO KOMORIUTA - My Own Lullaby

  • Organization : DA/LEDA
  • Section : None
  • Type of Grant Program : Single

Outline

This performance is a replay of “’My Lullaby’ made by children (March 22, 2nd year of Reiwa)” which was canceled to prevent infection with the new coronavirus.
After thorough measures against infectious diseases, Part 1: Write lyrics with customers in the one-hour play and concert.
And Part 2: In transcribing songs online on another day, compose with the customer.
“Lullaby” has a “simple structure” and “sings as if talking”, so even children can make it with appropriate assistance.
Children learn and experience “lullabies” as a means of confirming their origin. Then, for his new future, and as a return song of love received from his parents, he makes only one “lullaby” for himself in the world.
In this process, the child relives the “prayer for precious life” of the ancestors and parents contained in the “lullaby”.

Profile

DA/LEDA
Formed in 2017 to develop the project ‘WATASHI NO KOMORIUTA – My Own Lullaby,’ revolving around the performance group Ensemble Leda. In addition to concerts for children across the metropolitan area, the Ensemble has run workshops on creating lullabies at kindergartens, nursery schools, and children’s centers. The group’s activities have attracted attention as a new form of child-rearing support that reconnects people and creates the foundation for parent-child stories.
