The 4th edition of “Beyond the Frame Festival” provides opportunities for XR creators to produce, present, and exchange their XR works and for the public to experience XR works. (Co-Host: Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd.)
1. XR Movie Screenings: 25 domestic and international XR films are screened, equipped with dedicated XR equipment and specialized staff.
2. International Competition: An open call for entries from all over the world was conducted. The judging panel (Jay Kim, Mitsuko Okamoto, Hiroaki Higashi) reviewed the submissions to select the award-winning works.
3. Award Ceremony: From the nominated works, the judges selected three winning works and presented awards to the winners.
4. Events: The following events were held:
– “Envisioning the future of XR and broadcasting cutting-edge content internationally, from the experience of the award-winning studio Atlas V and the outstanding French festival NewImages.”
– “Asia Alliance – The Future of XR Film Festivals in Asian Countries”
– “Beyond the Frame Festival 2023 Closing Ceremony”
