Outline

Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid” pursues her dreams in the world of humans, a culture different than hers. With “The Little Mermaid” as its motif, Multi-lingual Theatre Tokyo has created the art-themed event “Art na Theme Park” in the theater and foyer, employing diverse art forms and perspectives including theater, music, dance, readings, art, calligraphy, handcraft, and food. True to the Ikebukuro district, which is known for its art and diversity, event visitors were entertained by a succession of performers and creators ranging in age, gender, nationality, and genre. Visitors made the most of their open entry/exit tickets to fully enjoy the Ikebukuro neighborhood as well in their free time.
