Time spot (kand design) has updated its 2019 Tokyo Gokan Park Halloween event with the theme “mysterious mobile amusement park.” The event will feature displays of artwork by local artists and special needs schools, and a craft market where creators will be selling their works and workshops will be offered. There will be performances by clowns and dancers based in Itabashi, musicians playing live, and a costume contest with Tokyo Takashima Public High School students. The operations staff will include volunteers from children’s centers, junior high and high school students.

Kand design has run the artist run space “time spot” sine 2011 under the concept of `”an open but secret base.” It has continued to be a link between the community and art, and as a forum for enabling experiments and “indescribable things.” Since time spot opened, the theme has been “how can artists carry on with their activities?” Its experimentation led to it being incorporated in 2018. The company plans and runs community-based events such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association-organized Tokyo Gokan Park, and Itabashi Festival in Tokyo Warehouse Center, a community event with local businesses. It also plans and creates designs for PR tools.
