They performed Schein’s composition “The Fountains of Israel,” which will celebrate its 400th anniversary in 2023, with period instruments and a top-notch chorus, spreading its musical appeal to a wide audience. Although it is a masterpiece, it is rarely performed around the world due to its low recognition and high performance difficulty. It consists of chorus and basso continuo, and it is difficult to understand what this basso continuo instrument should be. However, this is not specified in the score. Rather than simply gathering instruments and performers to hold a concert, we thoroughly consider two things: researching materials from the period and the practice of actually producing sounds for the audience to hear. What is unique about this organization is that we conducted our business based on these principles.
