Overseeing programming for the seventh instalment of the Composer’s Selection series, in which each concert is directed by a single composer, was Ichiro Nodaira, who continues to lead the Japanese classical and contemporary music world as a composer and conductor. Nodaira’s selection demonstrated a decentered perspective, featuring works from the repertoire of L’Itinéraire, the famous French music ensemble which Nodaira himself was involved with in the 1980s, and compositions from the contemporary French “Saturation” movement.

Yan Maresz: Titube pour tuba (2001)
