In this exhibition, Sawada considers the pure and continuous awe inspired by being able to see light and color, and the unconscious nature of re-ceiving information from visible light. The artist creates photographic works encapsulating the experience of acquiring images from all per-spectives through the transformation of memories, as well as works capturing events that resonate with unseen memories. By developing photographs onto various backing materials using light invisible to the human eye, Sawada has experimented with the experience of self-monitoring in order to gain every possible perspective. The exhibition was held at BOOTLEG gallery, a former bookbinder. Drawing on vestiges of the gallery’s former identity, Sawada created an installation and some works for the event on-site.
