Event features
On this program we divide course content according to the experience and abilities of participants, creating a 3-month teaching plan that meets the needs of the individual participant, such as rehearsal times and set pieces that suit the ability of each participant. Participants will be set goals and showcase the results at the final presentation. All the instructors are successful working musicians with long teaching careers, so participants will have up-close experience of hearing authentic sounds as played by the instructors.

Publicity methods for the recruitment of participants (collaboration, cooperation, networking, etc.)
We will select leading and active performers as instructors, and they will promote the program at concerts. Actually seeing the Shakuhachi and experiencing the sound and performance of the instrument as well as getting to know their teacher’s personality will create an opportunity for participants to develop an image of the Shakuhachi as an instrument and as an art after they start the program.

Ways to enable participants to continue with practical skills experience (other than programs covered by this grant) after the end of the event
Taking advantage of our lecturers being active performers, we will provide participants with various opportunities such as participation in concerts by lecturers. Should participants wish to further their studies after the final presentation, we will introduce new training programs to them and make it possible for them to take part. At that time, to keep participants motivated, we will hold a recital once a year and propose assignments that are suitable for the individual each time.
