In addition to spreading traditional culture through the performance of Japanese classical music, this event featured the world premiere of the commissioned contemporary music piece “Enmu” (written by Toshiro Saruya), which uses the traditional instruments sho and shamisen. Performing on the sho was Yuki Deai, and the shamisen was played by Hidejiro Honjoh.
