Themed around the poetry exchange between MIZUSHITA Nobunari and AOYAGI Natsumi, filmmakers ENDO Mikihiro and KUSANO Natsuka use a soundtrack made up of readings of the poetry, simultaneously presenting their respective video works on the front and back of the screen. Designed to align to the group’s concept of “installation screening” in keeping with its film creations, and taking into account changes in the way people watch films in today’s increasingly complex audiovisual environment (online viewing, for example), this project explores the possibilities for new practices in “film” and its screening formats.
