Outline

“TALKING LIGHTS” is artist and video director Daisuke Yamashiro’s new installation. The aim of this production and verification project is to hold a “debriefing” to examine and publicly share details of the installation’s production, and the findings and knowledge that emerged from the production process. In recent years Yamashiro has organized activities around his initiative, The Projected Image Laboratory, a forum for exploring and expanding new methods of expression in video media. New works created under this project have won high acclaim: for example the project’s third work, “VIDERE DECK” (2013), was a Jury Recommended Work in the 18th Japan Media Arts Festival’s Art Division. Using new methods, the Laboratory project is aiming for new horizons in video and art expression.
