The aging wood and changing colors of the Shioiri Tower at Shioiri Park are evidence of the intimate connections that the structure has made with people since its creation six years ago, welcoming every visitor that comes along. The “Oto no ne” project aims to give the tree-like tower a new, evolving visual identity through masking tape “plants” that grow inside and outside the tower with the nourishment of music. One of the elements of the project is a masking tape workshop, where participants can tune their minds to the world of sound and join together in reimagining the tower from different perspectives. Although the workshop requires advance registration, the live painting event and weeklong exhibit are open to the public. Don’t miss this chance to experience the Shioiri Tower in a new way!
