In this program we take a close look together at the ink-drawn Japanese characters in Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum’s exhibition “Ueno Artist Project 2020: ‘Experiencing the World of Japanese Contemporary SHO’
We look at the shapes of written characters. We think about what beautiful characters look like.
We’ll also hold a workshop in which you can try drawing lines and shapes with ink and brush.
