Artist Program in Kouzushima/Tetsutaro Take (Bakurocho band)
A festival for all, created together! Kuruto Winter Matsuri 2023: Kouzushima Story

We’re holding Kuruto Winter Matsuri again this year! Joining us in putting the festival together will be Tetsutaro Take, artist and leader of Bakurocho band (whose concept is “Neo folk music from scratch”). You may be surprised to hear that this year’s event has exited from Kuruto and relocated to the Machare Center. The core members, who have spent a week doing preparations, will join forces with everyone to make the festival go off with a bang. The event, entitled “Kouzushima Story,” will offer a handmade omikoshi (portable shrine), plus music, plus dancing…What sort of festival will it turn out to be, we wonder? It will be a festival anyone can take part in – children, adults, grandparents, everyone. We invite you to come along!

*Program details are subject to change.
*Please note the event will be recorded on the day for project operations and publicity purposes.
