International Conference on Open Access to Culture 2024

Culture and Home—New future opened by art

“The International Conference on Open Access to Culture 2024” is comprised of four major elements: the Conference itself involving discussions on the theme of “Culture and Home” from a broad range of international perspectives; the Showcase program with artwork exhibitions from artists in Japan and abroad as well as workshops and talks; the Networking program that promotes exchange between participants and visitors; and the Communication Lab that explores different methods of communication around the world. In view of the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics* to be held next year, the conference will also place focus on Deaf culture and provide a diverse range of programs that anyone can join.
The conference theme is “Culture and Home—New future opened by art.” All of us need a “home (place to belong)” within the increasing diversity and complexity of modern society. We believe that having a “home (safe and secure place)” is one aspect of “well-being,” and we will hold discussions on this topic with participants from around the world.
