Increasing social diversity is driving a quest to explore the potential for dialogue in art and design. This comprehensive exhibition aims to examine in depth the potential for designing a dialogue focused on examining the relationship of medical care settings to art and design. It showcases an art project in Sweden – a pioneer in the field of hospital art – that came to a close this spring (an art project by Miwa Akabane that arose from the refurbishment of the emergency ward at Stockholm’s St. Göran Hospital), as well as featuring a talk session and workshop with artists and designers involved in creative activities centered on communication.
