Outline

The 3rd in the series of “Human Voice” concerts will present G. Frid’s mono-opera Das Tagebuch der Anne Frank, and L. Berio’s Folk Songs with soprano Akie Amo as the main guest. The delicate psychological drama of a young girl living in fear and despair and yet trying to hold on to her hopes and dreams are beautifully portrayed in the opera, the stage for which will be directed by Satoshi Inagaki, the pianist and a core-member of the ensemble. Berio’s Folk Songs is rich in color and delicate beauty, an essential work in the contemporary repertoire.
