This is the second edition of Multus (meaning “more or multiple”) series directed by artist and musician Tomoko Mukaiyama. Specialist in modern music, Gerard Bouwhuis has been invited from the Netherlands, and with the cooperation of talented young pianists Shinji Urakabe and Yusuke Sato, they will perform the program on two-pianos for four and eight hands. The music and visual are inspired by ‘dance’ and the audience will be surrounded by a video installation. The material of video work is provided by EYE Film Institute Netherlands. The footage is from the silent films from 1920’s. About 50 monitors around piano will have a narration itself and expanded concert space. This concert will present a new musical experiment for people’s eyes and ears.
