Profile

The Projected Image Laboratory
The artist and director Daisuke Yamashiro established in February 2013 this laboratory to reexamine the possibilities, issues and methods of expression of film as a modern recording media. There will be networking at the laboratory among expressionists living in the same era who are involved with film from a variety of different positions. By creating a space for dialogue and experiments, the laboratory aims to pioneer new territory in the art of film. People working in different genres with different specialties will come together at the laboratory. Project will be promoted through debate, and an environment will be created where film expression can be reexamined from a multifaceted perspective that exceeds the boundaries of fixed genres and through vivid human exchanges.
