Outline

The performance will be staged during the Beijing Nanluoguxiang Theater Festival hosted by the only private theater in Beijing, Penghao Theater. It is a live show involving sound and images, and makes the most of the stage of the Penghao Theater, which is in a traditional Chinese building.

Profile

Sangatsu
Sangatsu was formed in Tokyo in 1997. The group debuted with its first album entitled “Sangatsu,” produced by Jim O’Rourke. After releasing the soundtrack “Nami” and the third album “Still Life,” Sangatsu released its latest album, 5 Compositions, in 2010.
In 2011, Sangatsu began their own project named “Catch and Throw.” The group attempts to create a format that can be used by anyone. Sangatsu produces music with a focus on the formation and movement of sound. The group collaborates with a number of people from other industries such as theater, dance, and film. Sangatsu announced their plans to relinquish copyright on all their works for five years beginning in 2012. The group has been meeting for rehearsals every Sunday without failure since their formation.
