To mark the 25th anniversary of the series this year, Catalan theatrical group La Fura dels Baus has been invited to perform the three-part opera “Oresteia” by Iannis Xenakis, in a new production for Suntory Hall. It will be conducted by noted young conductor Kazuki Yamada, winner of the International Competition for Young Conductors at The Besançon International Music Festival in 2009.
