This performance celebrates the worldwide recognition of Noh through its designation by UNESCO as an important asset of humanity to be handed down to future generations. This performance by female Noh artists brings together the five specialized schools of shite (lead actors). The production features commentary and a Japanese-English subtitle system, giving viewers the opportunity to savor the depth of Noh theater.

【The Nohgaku Performers’ Association】
The Nohgaku Performers’ Association was established in 1945 to manage all Noh performers, preserve and expand this traditional Japanese art, as well as to contribute to the nation’s culture through public performances. In March 2010, it was designated a public interest incorporated association by the Prime Minister, and registered as such the following month.
