Maki Sugihara Solo exhibition. The show presented two installation works by Sugihara, inviting viewers to use their breath as a medium. At the ground floor, balloon-shaped installations moving with people’s breath data was exhibited, at the second floor,the “AWAOTO”, amplifyng sounds of bubble into the electrical piano sounds was shown.

Maki Sugihara started his career in 2010, as one of central figures of the artist unit “eje”, resembling several specialists such as sounds, pictures, graphic and clothing, The group received the Okamoto Taro special prize in 2013 with their work “MONOOTO”. Through the dissolution of the group, Sugihara started to show his works as a solo artist from 2017.
